I think the UEFA Gaming app does a great job at maximizing fan engagement through not only the fantasy leagues but all the different games, quizzes, and statistics available to users. The only other gaming apps that I have used is the American Football Fantasy League app and the March Madness app. From what I remember, I do not think either of these apps had nearly as much extra features like the UEFA Gaming app does so I think having those is very unique and influential. However, there's always room for improvement and expansion. Some additional features that could further enhance the user experience and increase engagement could be community discussions and incorporating VR experiences for users to get tours of the stadiums or locker rooms.
ReplyDelete(Alex Natella) Hi Kelsey! I think you’re totally right in the fact that there is room for improvement. Compared to other apps like the March Madness app, UEFA does a great job in engaging fans but could definitely Add other features. I think VR experiences is a great idea.
DeleteI believe that UEFA gaming does a perfect job at maximizing dan engagement. They have a wide variety of different games that are available to play, so if fantasy football is not your thing there are plenty of other options to choose from. I of course believe that there could be more features for the app, there could always be more features to get everyone engaged in UEFA gaming. More engagement could come from many different aspects like the addition of more short-term fun games. Overall UEFA has done a great job with their gaming app.
ReplyDelete(Alex Natella) I was also thinking about how UEFA could engage with fans during the off season. Of course, its peak use is during the Champions League, but there must be different features to continue fan engagement throughout the whole year.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate how this post highlights the UEFA Gaming mobile app's efforts to engage fans globally, particularly during the UEFA Champions League. It effectively outlines various features like Fantasy Football and Arena Quiz aimed at catering to diverse fan interests. The promotion of competitions and prizes, such as PlayStation 5 and Champions League final tickets, adds excitement and encourages user participation. Overall, it's a great example of leveraging digital platforms to connect with fans worldwide.
(Alex Natella) I also think the prizes are a great addition to maximizes digital fan engagement. Any sort of prize is a great way to grab peoples attention. I think it’s an exciting way to promote fan engagement, even if there’s such a slim chance that you will actually win the prizes.
DeleteI love how you talk about all the UEFA games and the different things that they are doing to engage with their fans. I do indeed believe that the app can be modified more for fan engagement. Like every app and every spec things getting boring and repetitive so needing new ideas and new ways to connect with fans is necessary especially with changing times.
ReplyDeleteI had discussed fantasy EPL leagues in a similar article on my blog, so I wanted to bring up some similarities and concepts I explored in my own blog as I believe there are lots of overlaps. It is important to look into the gambling influence on these fantasy games as it has been steadily rising and is becoming more and more of a factor in these games, going so far as to influence younger players to get into gambling. I was wondering what your opinons in this prevalence of gambling as it pertains to UCL games and what the game is doing to curb this gambling problem!
ReplyDelete(Alex Natella) Thanks for your comment! I didn’t even think about the influence UEFA gaming has on gambling, which is most certainly does. I feel like these fantasy football teams we have created and also people around the world are creating and competing in leagues with their friends most certainly is fueled by gambling and wanting to win in the league. After just googling it, it doesn’t seem to be something that is reported on, besides people who are competing trying to win the prizes from UEFA. I am sure that specific leagues have a prize unique to their own situation. I’ll check out your blog now!
DeleteI believe that UEFA gaming is excellent at maximizing fan engagement. It allows the user to interact with day to day events regarding UEFA. The user feels more inclined to follow along with the Champion's League season when they have something to engage with. It is especially good for fans from the US, who don't have the opportunity to watch the games on TV.
ReplyDelete(Alex Natella) I haven’t even thought about fans that are unable to watch the games in real time can use the app in order to stay up to date and engaged. I was only thinking about fans that are most local to the actual teams (Europeans) but other fans are from all around the world and through the app are able to stay engaged 24/7.
DeleteI enjoyed reading this, I love how you talk about the aspects that the UEFA games use to keep their fans engaged. I believe that the UEFA games do a great job in keeping fans entertained and engaged, especially through fantasy football. I also totally agree that the prizes are a huge aspect in keeping fans playing and engaged. This is a huge example of using a digital source to keep fans engaged, great!

I think that UEFA gaming does a great job of maximizing fan engagement because they have provided a large amount of activities and games for fans to participate in. They checked every box as they provided really good incentives, voting polls, and many other games which are aimed to increase fan engagement. There are not many ideas that pop to my mind for what they could do more because I think they did an excellent job. Inevitabely they will think of more features to add but there are none that I can think of off the top of my head.
ReplyDeleteZach Lichtman - I think UEFA Gaming has done an amazing job in improving fan engagement with all the features to it. I think the Fantasy football component is very unique and it is a different outlet for fans to stay engaged. There is a new sense of competition that is different from the competition on the pitch, and this creates new passions and ways for fans to be involved and expand the sport. UEFA Gaming has done a great job bringing digital platforms to the fans and allowing them to have fun. As you mentioned, there is a variety of things to do and even prizes to win which is something great for the fans.
